Parivartana Yogas

“Yogas” in astrology, have a distinct link with the predictive part of astrology, which are a creation of different formations of planetary combinations in a horoscope. Astrologically, “Yogas” are typical planetary combinations, individually, or with respect to various “Bhavas”, or “Rashi’s”, which are supposed to confer specific results upon an individual, which may be both good and bad. There are numerous specified “Yogas” in astrology, that have enough relevance as per the classic books of astrology, for an astrologer or a student of astrology to be conversant with. “Parivartana – Yogas”, (Exchange – Yogas), are one amongst such “Yogas” which need a careful study. By Parivartana it is meant an exchange. If an exchange of two planets occurs in a birth chart or two planets exchange their house in a birth chart it results in a Parivartana. When the two lords of different houses mutually interchange places, that is, when they occupy the house of each other, such a disposition of planets constitutes “Parivartana – Yoga”. Planets undergoing such an exchange gain strength and then behave as if they are located in their own houses. It binds the two planets together in producing results of varied nature, depending upon the ruler ships of these two planets in a birth chart, sometimes very good results and sometimes-adverse results as well.

As such an attempt has been made in this book, to amplify and decode the defined parameters of various “Parivartana-Yogas” in astrology and its various variants, as mentioned in the “Classic-Books” of astrology. It has been done through a well disciplined research work on this topic of “Parivartana – Yogas” by applying the relevant astrological norms in this context to various horoscopes, covering the various parameters linked to the subject of “Parivartana – Yogas”. In addition to above “Vipreeta Raja Yogas”, are equally an important formation of “Yogas” as defined in the classic books of astrology. These have been discussed in detail in this book.

Hope this book will provide enough insight into the relevance of “Parivartana – Yogas”, in astrology and will serve as a good guide in this regard.

Part journal, part guide, Rāhu Daśā explores themes and experiences of Rāhu’s eighteen-year period, one of the nine used in Vedic astrology to time events in your life. It helps you digest what would otherwise prevent you from achieving your soul’s desire, guiding you in how to live authentically.

Generally there is no dasha or bhukti which is exclusively auspicious or exclusively inauspicious. Almost always there are some favourable and some unfavourable clues. I have heard some astrologers say that the contradictory signals cancel out each other.
Most respectfully, I beg to differ.
My submission is that all the signals whether good or bad, do produce their results as and when there is either a positive or a negative opportunity in the transiting planetary configurations during the tenure of the dasha or the bhukti.

Profession Through Vedic Astrology

Profession is a vital link to one’s existence. The profession of a person is directly linked to the destiny of a person, which in turn is linked to one’s ‘Karmas’. The Law of Karma is infallible and everyone is subjected to it. It is here where astrology and its parameters creep in to weigh one’s prospects of having a sustainable profession, as a subject of science and not as a dogma. To attain a proper professional career is the most significant responsibility of a person, as it sets the direction in which one has to live with in one’s life, particularly for one’s sustenance in life monetarily. As per the present scenario of economy, when the professions are now multiple in number, enough prudence in this behalf shall have to be exhibited by a prudent astrologer to club various astrological parameters to locate the earnings of a person through his or her profession. Looking to the scenario of the availability of varied professions now, it will thus be a challenging job for a leaned astrologer to identify the profession of a person, with accurate proximity and reliability.

Considering all the above factors an attempt has been made in this book to cover almost most of the prominent professional fields with due care and reference to relevant astrological factors thereof. This book is spread over about main fifteen (15) chapters covering various types and forms of professions and its different variants based on astrological logistics. All such cases have been explained in detail along with the relevant birth charts and the divisional charts.

While Vedic Astrology is an unfathomable ocean of knowledge, yet, this author has tried his best to make this book on profession and its variants a good presentation in respect of its importance of usages in its uses in predictive astrology.

Hope this book will provide enough insight into the relevance of Profession of a person through, astrology and will serve as a good guide in this regard.

Hora Amrit

Hora Amrit is one of the profound astrological works both from the wisdom of thoughts and the practicability of its discipline. This pristine text is an encyclopedia of astrology providing an in-depth study of the intricate subjects. The object of the compiler is to make esteemed readers aware of the evolved studies of this field. Here, the most important aspects of predictive astrology have been well-explained by bringing in the valuable materials of contemporary peers.

It could be curiously noted from the table of bibliography wherein a large number of transcripts are shown as having been referred to in appropriate contexts. Even the most difficult aspects have been lucidly and minutely explained for the benefit of all concerned. These textual materials are indicated with assigned abbreviations for easy connectivity by avid readers while surfacing through their contents.

This book contains 54 chapters. The opening chapter deals with the ‘Manifestation of Astrology’ tracing its derivation from ‘Vedas’, the first Shastra, for which astrology is reckoned as the limb of Vedas. A few chapters are devoted to astrological terms and elementary niceties and principles. Besides, some chapters are linked to discovering the nature of native physical peculiarities, fortune, etc., from planetary positions at the time of conception and multifold births. The next chapters treat early death, i.e., ‘Balaarishta’, on determining the length of life (longevity). In addition, some material is adduced on Raj and other Yogas, and ‘Anishtadhyaya’ contains several malevolent planetary positions, each connected with some evil of human life. Even ‘Kala Sharpa’ Yoga is discussed over here. A chapter is devoted to women and this is followed by one on compatibility and ‘Milapa’, determining the marriage prospects and even ‘Kuja’ Dosha is discussed.

Towards the end, 12 chapters are devoted to 12 ‘Houses’, bringing out their generic and special effects separately, and the matters covering planetary house lords’ placement vis-a-vis their significations are discussed elaborately. This and much more researched information is condensed in this text which will immensely benefit the respected readers.

Rashmi Chintha

Rashmi Chintha, the topic of this book, is a unique one rarely ventured into by any modern author, although relevant details on it are available in many classical texts such as Saravali, Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Jatakabharanam, Jataka Saradeepa, Hora makaranda, Shambu Hora Prakasha, Maansagari, Jataka Parijata, Prasna Marga, etc. This is an original study on this sparingly used concept in Astrology.

The Rays of Planets and Signs are useful in predictive Astrology for many purposes including the assessment of the overall strength of a horoscope and judging one’s level of success/failure in life, answering queries related to digging of a well, calculation of planetary strengths and longevity of a native, judging the favourability or otherwise of planets, etc. But it is observed that Rashmi phala and other applications of Rays of Planets and Signs are rarely used in actual prediction by the practitioners of the Science of Astrology. However, this concept warrants a preferential treatment owing to its predictive potential. This book examines and discusses all aspects of Rashmi Chintha exclusively in detail and provides the much-needed insight into the lesser-known topic for further exploration and easy adoption by all.

The book is structured into 8 chapters for an easy understanding of the concepts in a graded way. The first two chapters deal with the fundamental principles and their application in natal horoscopy, horary astrology and Nashta Jataka are discussed in the remaining six chapters. The principles are explained clearly and lucidly in detail with 9 suitable examples and illustrated using 20 Tables. The main text of this book originally appeared in 6 parts as a series of articles during the period from February 2020 to July 2020 in EXPRESS STAR TELLER, a Vedic Astrology monthly magazine being published by Express News Papers Limited, Chennai.  Only minor changes have been made in the published text in this book for purposes of better clarity and continuity. Chapter 8 is added to the book exclusively.

Kaam Ratan Tantra

The Sanskrit word ‘Tantra’ derives from the verbal root tan, meaning ‘to weaves’, or ‘compose’, and refers to a type of instructional text, often written as a dialogue between Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati. This book deals with the Tantric-shat-Karma, via., Shanti, Vashi Karana, Stambhan, Vidveshan, Uchchatan, and Marana. Besides it also deals with Mercurial treatment and other problems being dealt by a man and woman in their life.
